Formed in 2018 by José Luis Vargas (guitar, vocals), George San Román (bass, vocals), and René Álvarez (guitar), Call ov the Void quickly rose to prominence in the underground metal scene. With the addition of Axel Fabricio (drums), the band solidified their lineup and embarked on a relentless pursuit of sonic exploration.

Following the release of their debut EP, "Drowned," in 2019, Call ov the Void continued to captivate audiences across Mexico with their raw energy and profound musicality. Now, the band stands on the brink of their most ambitious project yet – the release of their debut album, "On Grief and Dying," on March 15th, 2024.

Recorded and mixed by the esteemed Sam Becerra (Aetherevm) and mastered by the legendary Dan Swanö (Edge of Sanity, Nightingale, Bloodbath), "On Grief and Dying" promises to be a tour de force of doom-laden melodies and crushing riffs, showcasing the band's evolution and musical maturity.

"A Peaceful Surrender," the latest single from the album, offers a glimpse into the haunting depths of Call ov the Void's sonic universe. Featuring backing vocals by Błażej Kasprzak (Batushka, Sturmovik), the track is a testament to the band's ability to craft immersive and emotionally resonant music.
